Rohan was raised by a Jamaican mother and an Indian father in London. As a kid he was part of the renowned Chickenshed Theatre Company, where he fell in love with the power of storytelling. Rohan began creating little films for his younger brothers with Lego Movie Maker and later commandeered his dad’s mini DV camcorder. Determined to fulfill his dream of becoming a director, Rohan went to study at Central Saint Martins and graduated with a degree in fine art.

His adventures as a DJ in the London club scene introduced him to several up-and-coming artists, and the projects he made with them quickly built him a buzz in the early days of the DSLR era. It was the short film A Night At The Emirates, shot at an Arsenal game and uploaded to YouTube, that brought him to the attention of the industry.

Equally at home working in narrative, branded entertainment, live music, and immersive, Rohan’s credits include the episodic series Centerpiece with Maurice Harris, a documentary/music video hybrid for Bam from Jay-Z’s 4:44, the Apple Music Live: NYE 2025 global stream with Skepta and Uncle Waffles, the art film When I See You, I See Me that screened at the Tate Britain, and the visual album Nasir to accompany Nas’ self-titled release.

He resides in LA and is developing a slate of narrative projects, including the feature film One Night in Compton with Paramount Pictures.
